How the solutions work

As much help as you want, no more

Every player gets the same levels in the same order, so each solution here starts exactly like the level in your app. It takes exactly the move target and only uses what the app shows you. You decide how much of it you see.

  1. Find your level

    Pick the difficulty and the number from the top of your game screen. Level 37 here is level 37 in the app.

  2. One move at a time

    Tap Next move and watch just that one sock change lines. Often one is all it takes to see the way again.

  3. Or watch it all

    Press play and the whole solution runs: trios vanish, baskets come up, until every line is empty.

Questions about the solutions

Are these the same levels as in my app?

Yes. Beasties has fixed levels: every player gets the same puzzles in the same order. Chill level 37 on this page starts exactly like Chill level 37 in your app.

How do I find the solution for my level?

The difficulty and the level number are at the top of the game screen. Pick the same difficulty here and tap the number, or type it into the jump box at the top of this page.

Will this solution get me three stars?

Yes. It needs exactly the level’s move target, and three stars are yours a few moves beyond that. It also never peeks: every move only uses what the app shows at that moment, the lines and the top basket of each line.

Does the solution use the extra line?

No. It never buys anything, so you can follow it without spending a single star.

How does the solution move a twin-clip pair?

Like the app: tap one sock of the pair and both go. The move list marks those moves with “twin clip”, and each one counts as a single move. Tangled socks never move in a solution, they leave with their trio.

Can I see just the next move?

Yes. The solution starts at the beginning, and each tap on Next move shows exactly one sock changing lines. Press play to watch the rest.

My board looks different from the start position.

The solution starts at the beginning of the level. Restart the level in the app (that also sets the counter back to zero) and follow from there. There is no undo, so a few moves in, Restart is the way back.

How are the lines counted?

Like reading: left to right, row by row. The move list names the sock too, by colour and pattern, in case a line holds more than one.

Is this the only solution?

No, most levels have many, and some are even shorter if you happen to guess what the hidden baskets hold. The one here is the solution the app’s move target comes from, checked move by move with the game’s rules.

Is looking up a solution cheating?

It is your game. One move often gets you going again, and you still solve the rest yourself. If you would rather learn to save moves on your own, the Laundry Day guide shows four habits with animations.
