How the solutions work

As much help as you want, no more

Every player gets the same stacks in the same order, so each level here deals exactly the stacks of the level in your app. You decide how much of the solution you see.

  1. Find your level

    Pick the difficulty and the number from the top of your game screen. Level 37 here is level 37 in the app.

  2. One stack at a time

    Step through the solution stack by stack, or play the level yourself with the same stacks. Often one drop is all it takes.

  3. Or see where every stack goes

    Under a cover, every cell shows the numbers of the stacks dropped on it. Open it to check your way, or to finish a level you have had enough of.

Questions about the solutions

Are these the same levels as in my app?

Yes. Every level of Hive Stacks has fixed stacks: every player gets the same ones in the same order. Chill level 37 on this page deals exactly the stacks of Chill level 37 in your app.

How do I find the solution for my level?

The difficulty and the level number are at the top of the game screen. Pick the same difficulty here and tap the number, or type it into the jump box at the top of this page.

Can I see just the next stack?

Yes. On every level page the solution starts with the empty hive, and each tap on Next stack places exactly one stack. Press play to watch the rest.

Can I play the level on the page?

Yes. Switch to “Play it yourself”, pick a stack and tap a free cell, just like in the app. The page has an undo button as well; in the app there is only Restart.

My hive looks different from the solution. Why?

The solution starts at the beginning of the level. If you have already placed some stacks, restart the level in the app (it’s free) and follow from there.

Is this the only solution?

Usually there are many. The one here is checked with the same rules as the app, so every drop also works in your game.

What is the difference between the difficulties?

Chill and Normal play on 19 cells with five and six colours. Tricky and Devilish play on 37 cells with seven and eight colours, and Devilish stacks can carry up to four colours.

Is looking up a solution cheating?

It is your game. One stack is often enough to get going again. If you would rather learn to keep the hive tidy, the Hive Stacks guide shows three habits with animations.
